24 HOURS IN KUALA LUMPUR
If you have just 24 hours in Kuala Lumpur, you’ve come to the right place. After a recent trip to KL, we fell in love with the city, friendly people and incredible food. Kuala Lumpur is also a great stopover to any destination in Asia. You can enjoy some of the best shopping malls and the city definitely has one of the cheapest rates for luxury hotels in the world.
The best way to see all the interesting sights and attractions in 24 hours is to get yourself a KL Pass. Are you asking yourself what is KL Pass? Well, the KL Pass is your ultimate pass to the city of Kuala Lumpur. City passes are famous all over the world and it is a great thing that also the city of KL has one. This way you can enjoy the city sights and the main attractions that are all gathered in a small guidebook that you can take with you.
With the KL PASS you can enjoy entry without further payment to multiple attractions in the city while saving time and money. Also, you can use special Fast Track lanes and skip the queues for tickets and admissions.
We used our KL Pass to tour the city on-board the KL Hop On Hop Off Bus and we went to various attractions. So, here are some good suggestions to start your 24 hours in Kuala Lumpur.
First, start at the KL City Gallery to get a snapshot of the history of Kuala Lumpur and to see the amazing scale model of the entire city. You can also purchase some souvenirs here. And of course don’t forget to take some lovely photos at the “I LOVE KL” structure located at the entrance.
Catch the KL Tram just outside the KL City Gallery that will take you for a tour and hop off at Tun Abdul Razak Memorial. Just a short walking distance away you will find Perdana Botanical Gardens, which contain several specialty gardens such as orchid garden, Heliconia garden and the herb garden. Don’t forget to stop at the KL Butterfly Park and wander around the gardens to see thousands of colorful butterflies.
In the evening go for a nice dinner at one of the famous sky dinning restaurants or grab yourself a cocktail and enjoy the view. We suggest that you visit SkyBar or Marini’s on 57.
Start your second day by going up into the clouds to view the city from above at the observation deck of the KL Tower. This is an absolute must visit attraction while you are in KL. From there you can take a KL Hop on Hop Off Bus that will take you around the city. You can hop off at any station to explore what the city has to offer. Try your hand at the art of batik painting and while you wait for your masterpiece to dry, you can explore the Craft Museum.
In the evening go for an authentic Malaysian dinner at Rebung Restaurant. They have plenty of choices to choose from and the food is delicious. After the dinner you can visit the MUD musical: The Story Of Kuala Lumpur to learn more about the thrilling history of the city.
The KL Pass is available in validates of 1-day, 3-day and 6-day. Each KL Pass comes with a complimentary guidebook packed with useful information on how to make the most of your visit. You can check their website for more information here: KL Pass!
