Noku Kyoto opened its doors 2018 and it is located at an incredible location, just a 1-minute walk from Marutamachi Subway Station. It is a lovely hotel with spacious rooms, nice breakfast, and friendly staff members. Noku Kyoto features a 24-hour concierge service, a café and free WiFi access throughout the property.
They are quite passionate about preserving the area’s traditional craft galleries and machiya houses.
Popular sightseeing attractions including the Kyoto Imperial Palace and Nijo Castle can be reached within a 10-minute walk from Noku Kyoto. You will also find Kyoto University and Nishiki Market within a 20-minute walk. Kansai International Airport is a 100-minute drive away from the property. You can get around pretty easily since the Marutamachi Subway Station is just around the corner.
Kyoto Imperial Palace
The Kyoto Imperial Palace is the former ruling palace of the Emperor of Japan. The Emperors have since resided at the Tokyo Imperial Palace after the Meiji Restoration in 1869, and the preservation of the Kyoto Imperial Palace was ordered in 1877.
Noku Kyoto has 81 lovely decorated rooms. All guests have access to free WiFi in public areas and free newspapers. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can assist with luggage storage, dry cleaning/laundry, and concierge services.
Our room was spacious with a large king size bed, small working and living area. A flat-screen TV comes with cable channels and there is also an electric kettle and a mini-bar provided in every room. The bathroom offers hair dryer, free Shiseido toiletries, and slippers.
Besides that, there are some truly excellent coffee and tea fixings, free bottled water and complimentary minibar.
Each morning continental breakfast is served between 7:00 am and 10:30 am and for a drink, you can stop by the hotel’s own bar/lounge. We did not dine at the hotel since you have a lot of options and restaurants around the property.
Noku Kyoto is a lovely hotel with a great location if you wish to explore the city. Kyoto Imperial Palace is just a few meters away. You can rent a bike and drive through the beautiful gardens of the palace. The hotel is newly built and the rooms are spacious and have everything you need for a relaxed stay. There is a 24-hour concierge service that will help you plan your day and in the afternoon you can relax with a glass of wine or a coffee in the hotel bar.
