A Quick Guide to Santorini
This year we had the pleasure to visit the picturesque island of Santorini. Actually, we were staying on the nearby island called Crete and went with a company called Seajets on a day trip to Santorini.
If you are traveling around Greece then you should definitely visit Santorini. Add it to your bucket list and you will not be disappointed. It is a spectacular island build on cliffs thousands of feet above sea level. So, you can imagine the views… Yes, you are right! They are spectacular.
We have visited Santorini for just a day, so we gathered a few facts and put together a quick guide to Santorini, for you to enjoy.
Spectacular Views
If you are on the island for just one day, or you have booked a hotel here, you can not overlook the views. They are just out of this world. Our tip… book your hotel in one of the towns that have gorgeous views like Oia, Fira or even Imerovigli.
Stay the Night
You should definitely stay overnight in one of the amazing hotels. They are usually all in white colors with beautiful blue windows and doors. And be sure the hotel has a pool with a view of Caldera. The view will take your breath away, especially in the evening.

Breathtaking Sunsets
Yes, we are all dreaming of beautiful sunsets on our holidays and Santorini definitely, has one of the best sunsets in the world. Well, we can’t forget the Maldives and all the Caribbean islands, but Santorini can surely compete with all of them. You can watch the sunset from your hotel with a glass of Prosecco and some Greek music in the background.

Fira or Oia
Everybody heard of Fira and actually I thought that all the famous Santorini photos are taken at Fira, but boy I was mistaken. Most of the photos that you see on postcards are actually taken in Oia. So, Oia is the place you can’t miss when you visit Santorini. This small town is filled with beautiful blue domes, white hotels, lovely paths and picturesque views.

Greek Food
It doesn’t matter wich part of Greece you are visiting, the food will always be exceptional. The Greek cuisine is fresh and simply delicious. You should definitely try the Greek salad with that delicious feta cheese, souvlaki, the Greek yogurt, gyros, baklava, and ouzo.
What to Wear
You should bring some long dresses and get a few amazing pictures to show your friend at home. It gets windy in Santorini, so definitely bring a cardigan or a light jacket. And of course, that sexy new bikini that you just can’t wait to put on. Maybe accessorize it with a large hat and modern sunglasses and you are ready to go.
Conclusion
Enjoy your time on this small island, explore the villages, wander through tiny walkways, admire the picturesque views, enjoy the delicious food and have fun, because Santorini will stay your heart as one of the cutest islands you have ever seen.
