Park Hyatt Istanbul – Macka Palas is located in the Nisantasi shopping district, one of the city’s most posh neighborhoods for dining, shopping, and socializing. Macka Palas is a 20th-century apartment block designed by Giulio Mongeri and combines historic architecture of an Art Deco building with innovative design to create the perfect modern setting.
Hotel
The Park Hyatt is located at this amazing old apartment building in the center of the glamorous neighborhood Nisantasi. An integration of two buildings, the Park Hyatt–Maçka Palas takes its name from the older wing. The 1922 neoclassical building houses 90 spacious guest rooms, an outdoor swimming pool with a sundeck, spa and fitness area and a restaurant with a wine bar.
Accommodation
When we arrived from the airport we were warmly welcomed by a bellman and after taking care of all the formalities, we were escorted to our twin deluxe room. The room was lovely with two twin beds, small working area and a bathroom with steam shower and separate bathtub. The bath and private hammam area were equipped with a changeable atmospheric lighting system, so you could choose the color that suits you the most. The room was quite classical in appearance decorated dark colors with chandelier and dark wood floor. On the walls, there were black and white images by famous Istanbul photographer Ara Guler. Amenities in the room included flat screen TV, air conditioning, Blaise Mautin bath products, hair dryer, plush cotton robes, Nespresso coffee machine, safe and morning newspaper upon request.
We were also escorted to the Presidential Suite which is located on the top floor. This corner suite features 250 square meters of space, separate living and dining areas, an oversized king bed, guest bathroom, minibar, and work desk. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a private terrace offer views of the city and the Bosporus.
Restaurants & Bars
Park Hyatt has the main restaurant located in the lobby and a wine bar with a selection of wines from all over the world. The menu at Lounge at Park Hyatt specializes in Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Wine Bar features more than 70 wine varietals, in addition to an expansive cocktail list and a menu featuring tapas.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning. It was an open buffet offering pastries, cereals, fruits, vegetables, different sort of cheese, cold cuts, as well as hot drinks and cooked items, including the Turkish signature omelet, Menemen. The menu for the lunch and dinner was the same and we had the pleasure to enjoy both. The food was delicious and if you are in town, be sure to visit the restaurant.

Park Hyatt Istanbul has a spa that allows you to escape into an oasis of peace. Their wide menu of treatments blends traditions of Istanbul with modern Western techniques to ensure optimal wellness and relaxation.
