Ciragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul
The Ciragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul is the ultimate luxury hotel, located on the shores of Bosphorus in Turkey. The view from the hotel is simply breathtaking as it overlooks the amazing city and the Bosphorus bridge. The Kempinski also includes the amazingly restored Imperial Palace Hotel and the wonderful gardens that surround the property.
Location
Ciragan Palace Kempinski is located on the European shore of the Bosphorus. Although many of the historic and cultural attractions of Istanbul are located in Old Istanbul’s Sultanahmet district, you should not miss this part of the city. The views are simply breathtaking and the hotel itself is one of the most luxurious hotels in the country. It is less than an hour drive from the airport and it’s the only hotel in Istanbul accessible by car, yacht, and helicopter.
Hotel
Ciragan Palace Kempinski is considered as the city’s most distinguished place to have high profile meetings, congresses, social events and of course weddings. It is actually two hotels in one. On one side you have the restored palace of the last Ottoman Sultan and on the other side, there is a grand Kempinski Hotel with a total of 310 rooms and suites. The hotel is a perfect oasis in the middle of the bustling city of Istanbul. It has beautiful royal gardens, a seaside promenade, three large swimming pools, luxurious spa, numerous restaurants and bars and of course the best panoramic views of the Bosphorus Bridge.
Accommodation
We had the pleasure to enjoy a Superior Bosphorus View Room with amazing views of the bridge and the city. Our suggestion is that regardless of your room type, make sure you get a room facing the Bosphorus. The views are spectacular during the day and of course in the evening. Our room was small, but comfortable with king size bed, small working area, seating corner with couches, bathroom with a bathtub and lovely balcony. The hotel also has amazing suites that offer every service and comfort imaginable, right down to personalized butler service.
Restaurants & Bars
As we stayed only one night at the Kempinski Istanbul hotel, we didn’t have the time to try all of their famous restaurants. But we did try the breakfast at the Laledan Restaurant and it was brilliant. There are plenty of dishes to choose from and there is even a special gluten-free corner.
We did not have a dinner at the Kempinski but will try to put that in our schedule on our next visit, because their restaurants are really amazing. The hotel’s four restaurants promise incredible gastronomic experiences. You can enjoy fine dining at Tuğra, the Gazebo Lounge, the Laledan or at Bosphorus Grill Restaurant.
Spa & Wellness
If you wish to relax, the best thing is to visit the luxurious Spa at Ciragan Palace Kempinski. They have plenty of treatments available and you can also experience the authentic Turkish bath called Hammam. Beyond all the Spa facilities, there is a fully equipped fitness center, whirlpool, sauna and heated infinity outdoor pool with amazing views of Bosphorus.
Conclusion
Ciragan Palace Kempinski is definitely one of the best hotels to stay at while you are visiting Istanbul. It is like a fairytale to walk through the gardens of Ciragan Palace Kempinski with its beautiful palace and seaside promenade. The hotel provides a unique experience with its historical ambiance, luxurious facilities, award-winning cuisine, and impeccable service. It is just a perfect place to enjoy some luxury in this magnificent city. Istanbul is a fascinating city and ideal for a weekend getaway. It offers luxury hotels, fabulous restaurants and enormous variety of cultural and historical attractions. We will definitely be back!
