One of the must do day trips would definitely be Versailles. It is a perfect trip outside of the city. You get to escape to wonderful French châteaux with breathtaking gardens and the iconic Palace. Go explore the amazing town of Versailles with a museum, markets, cafés, and brasseries. You will enjoy a day at the Parisian countryside with many photo opportunities of this wonderful landscape.

If you only have a half day to visit a place outside of Paris, we would recommend you to drive to the Picardie region and visit Chantilly and its Château. Within the Château itself, you’ll find Musée Condé, the second largest art collection in France after the Louvre.

The town itself has plenty of character and unusual architecture. It is famous for its own brand of brie called Meaux Brie and has many great restaurants with delicious food.
