Italian Cuisine at Rosso Restaurant Dubai
On our stay at Amwaj Rotana, we had the pleasure to dine at an Italian restaurant called Rosso. The restaurant is a part of Amwaj Rotana and accessible through the hotel.
On our arrival, we were welcomed by the friendly staff and taken to our table. The menu offers a lot of different dishes from starters, prima pasta, segunda pasta and of course deserts. We needed some help because we couldn’t decide what to order, so friendly Ms. Dewi helped us with the menu, and we were more than pleased with the selection.
The Restaurant
The restaurant has sophisticated interior and furniture in red and black colors. The atmosphere is lovely and vibrant with music playing in the background. You can choose to sit inside or outside where there is a lovely al fresco area. As the weather was a bit cold, we choose to sit inside. Reservation is highly recommended because the restaurant gets quite full over the weekend.
The Menu
The menu consists of traditional Italian dishes like burrata, fresh salads, pasta, risotto, pizza, seafood and of course desserts like tiramisu. In a separate menu, you will find a wide range of beverages including signature juices, a different selection of wines and liquors.
For the starter, we were given a bowl of focaccia bread accompanied with parmesan cheese and a basil dip. The bread was just melting in our mouths. Perfect!
But that was not all. We also received Puglia’s Burrata cheese served with heirloom tomato and basil and salmon tartar served with avocado and cherry tomatoes. Everything was more than delicious!
For our prima pasta, we had their homemade Paccheri served with mussels and clams in tomato sauce and for our main dish, we received Angus beef fillet with foie gras, black truffle and sautéed spinach and a Pan-seared sea bass with sage butter, potatoes, and baby leeks. Every dish was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing!
We were so full by the time we finished the dishes that we forgot to save room for dessert. But I believe that the desert is just as amazing as the rest of the dishes.
Conclusion…
We really wished we could eat more because everything was so so good. We will definitely return to Rosso next time we are in Dubai to try some more of their fabulous dishes.
If you are looking for an authentic Italian dinner, then Rosso is the right choice. Not only because of its delicious food but also because of the beautiful setting, lively atmosphere and of course, the warm and helpful staff members. Special thank you goes to lovely Dewi who was so friendly and professional every time we met during our stay at Amwaj Rotana. She warmed our hearts!
