Puri Sebali Bali
Puri Sebali was the place that I was most excited to visit! When I saw the pictures I thought this feels like the perfect paradise and after staying there I must say it was one too 🙂
Puri Sebali is located about 90 min drive from the Ngurah Rai Airport in the iconic Ubud. Ubud is amazing with its rice terraces, waterfalls, Monkey Forest, craft villages and friendly people that will inspire you and let you into their lives. You can shop for antiques, check different museums, temples or go on an interesting tour around the area. If you are visiting Bali, then Ubud is definitely the place you should not miss.
The hotel is nestled on a ridge overlooking the amazing rice terraces. When we arrived at the luxury resort, we were immediately amazed by the views. It was the perfect paradise surrounded by the tall coconut palm trees and lush green rice fields. Breathtaking! The resort offers different suites and villas, large infinity swimming pool, spa, yoga deck and international cuisine restaurant. You can also spend your time at a cooking class, riding a bicycle or take a free shuttle service to Ubud central. It takes around 20 min to reach the cultural and arts center of Ubud, which has many shops, restaurants, bars, and temples. So, we would recommend that you visit this vivid place.
Upon our arrival we were upgraded to the One Bedroom Pool Villa which was the perfect start to our fairytale stay at Puri Sebali. The room was perfect with the small working area, large king size bed with mosquito net, beautiful bathroom with standing shower and bathtub facing to the rice terrace view. The best part of the villa was definitely our own private terrace with two sun-loungers and small infinity pool overlooking the tropical garden and rice terraces. The view that we will never forget! It is so amazing … you are in the middle of this green jungle, but at the same time have a luxury of a five-star hotel.
The main hotel pool is beautifully positioned, pacing toward the green rice terrace. This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the tropical surroundings, just listening to the sounds of nature.
The spa was facing the rice terraces and had a spectacular view. Here, you can unwind and find a true balance of mind, body, and spirit while enjoying the beauty of Ubud’s iconic rice paddies. You can practice your yoga routine here or you can just relax in the open Jacuzzi. We decided to have a couple Balinese massage in the privacy of our villa. Firs we wanted to enjoy the view from our terrace while having a massage, but it started to rain, so we moved to the room and enjoyed the treatment there. It was a pleasant and relaxing massage that felt really good after a long day.
Sebali restaurant is located on the upper floor with a magnificent view of the infinity pool down below and the rice terraces in the distance. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We had a la carte breakfast at the outdoor deck every morning. We could not get enough of this amazing view, so we came back for the high tea with delicious treats in the afternoon. And in the evening we decided to enjoy a candlelight dinner at this beautiful surrounding. The chef prepared a modern Asian dishes and a special cocktail for us. The dinner was perfect and the food was delicious!
Puri Sebali is a perfect place if you love the nature, but don’t want to sacrifice the luxury. This lovely boutique resort has it all! It is in the middle of the tropical jungle, surrounded by the green rice terraces, palm trees, and gardens, but at the same time has everything you need for a luxurious holiday. You will enjoy the best views ever while being pampered by the friendly staff members. Not to mention the fabulous cuisine, incredible villas, and amazing infinity pool. This is a hidden paradise and we would come back in a heartbeat!
